Why we exist

Mission

To dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline by preventing youth criminalization, reducing reliance on detention, and advancing community-centered approaches to safety, accountability, and opportunity.

Vision

A Seattle where young people are supported, not criminalized — where schools and communities respond to harm with care rather than punishment, and public safety means prevention, stability, and opportunity for all.

Core beliefs
  • 1 Youth are not disposable; harm is often the result of unmet needs, untreated trauma, and limited access to opportunity.
  • 2 Education is a primary pathway to freedom, stability, and lawful futures.
  • 3 Punitive responses alone don't create safety — prevention, accountability, and continuity do.
  • 4 Community safety improves when youth stay connected to school, supportive adults, and future-oriented opportunities.
  • 5 Systems must collaborate, not isolate youth, during moments of crisis and transition.

Privacy Policy - the basics

Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location. 

What to include in the Privacy Policy

Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors and customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much, much more.
