Seattle Peace & Safety (SPS) is a community-rooted nonprofit built by credible messengers, educators, and leaders with lived experience. We exist because too many young people in Seattle are navigating trauma, violence, and systemic barriers without the mentorship, emotional support, or opportunities they need to succeed.
Our mission is simple: build safer minds so we can build safer communities.
Every day, SPS provides mentorship, emotional wellness support, reentry guidance, youth empowerment workshops, and career-pathway coaching for youth and system-impacted individuals across King County. What makes us different is our approach: culturally grounded, relationship-based, trusted, and driven by lived experience — the kind of support young people listen to and respond to.
Why invest in SPS? Because your support doesn’t just fund services — it transforms trajectories. With additional funding, we can expand SET Groups, increase mentorship hours, strengthen our reentry support, and bring healing-centered leadership programs into more schools and neighborhoods.
A contribution today directly helps youth build stability, confidence, and pathways to education and employment — reducing violence, increasing opportunity, and creating a safer, healthier Seattle for all of us.
Together, we can change stories, strengthen communities, and build a city where every young person has a real chance to thrive.
